Fix the state you can prove
Start from the failed step and correlation ID. Do not solve a WordPress publishing error by deleting records, changing sites or repeating an uncertain Create.

Preflight is blocked
Confirm the Site URL, HTTPS certificate, REST API and Application Password before changing anything in the Project.
- Use the public WordPress origin, not /wp-admin or a private server address.
- Create a new Application Password if the credential was revoked or copied incorrectly.
- Confirm the user can create and edit Pages and write title, content, slug and status.
- A security plugin or reverse proxy must allow authenticated /wp-json/wp/v2/ requests.
Destination could not be saved
Keep the safe category and correlation ID shown by pSEO Guard. They identify the server-side failure without exposing the database error or credential.
- operation_lock_conflict means a deployment Job is active; finish or cancel it first.
- Do not paste the Application Password, ciphertext, cookies or full request body into a support message.
- A failed Save should not remove the previous working connection.
Draft Job failed
Open the per-page record and separate failed from remote mismatch.
- Failed update: correct the WordPress response and use Retry failed only.
- Remote not Draft: inspect the Page and decide whether it should be rolled back before content replacement.
- Missing parent: complete or safely retry the parent first.
- Unknown Create outcome: inspect WordPress before attempting another Create.
Verification or Publish mismatch
Compare the saved WordPress ID, current status and remote URL with the confirmed plan. A WordPress Draft query link is normal; a published Page must use the final planned pathname.
- Restore a known Draft state, then Verify again.
- If WordPress published successfully but returned an unexpected URL, the observed published state remains saved for recovery.
- Use rollback to return a known published Page to Draft; do not delete it.
What to include when asking for help
Share only non-sensitive evidence.
- Project ID and Job ID.
- Safe error category and correlation ID.
- WordPress Page ID, status and public/same-origin URL.
- The time of the failure and whether the operation was Create, Update, Verify, Publish or Rollback.
